Not all old modems, routers, and other related connecting devices work well with Microsoft Windows 7. Unfortunately, there is no way to solve this problem. So you need to use a latest compatible modem/router that is compatible with Windows 7. Before doing installing, please confirm that your device is compatible with your operating system using hardware manufacturer's website. If drivers are an issue, the manufacture may have an updated driver for you to install. You may also visit the Microsoft Compatibility Center to view a list of approved hardware.
