RM Loyalty Interface Setup Form

Setup for communicating with RM Loyalty is performed in the Loyalty Interface Setup form within the RM BackOffice module. The form is accessed by clicking on Setup > General > Loyalty Interface. It is suggested that RMWeblink not be running when making editing in the Loyalty Interface Setup form. Use the following data to complete the forms in the required fields:

Interface Enabled- This field is enabled by default when the interface is purchased. If not, make sure the option is enabled. If not enabled, the POS will process the RM Frequent Diner program rather the RM Loyalty program.

Server- this field is auto populated with "https://api.rmloyalty.com/Loyalty.svc" by default.

RMWeblink IP- The IP address in this field should belong to the computer where RMWeblink is running. It is recommended that RMWeblink runs on the server computer. In this scenario the IP address can be the loopback IP address "127.0.0.1" or the rmserver IP address (i.e. 192.168.1.101).

RMWeblink Port- the port address that the RMWeblink server is listening to. Ideally, this should be a high number (i.e. above 5000). Avoid using common ports used by other software such as port 80.

Merchant Key- The Merchant Key in Restaurant Manager is the same as the RM Loyalty Merchant Key that is assigned to the specific loyalty program the restaurant/chain will run. The data in this field is obtained from the merchant's RM Loyalty Management Console site . In the sample screen shot below, the Merchant Key provided by RM Loyalty is “ChatnChew”.

Merchant Secret- The Merchant Secret is used to authorize RM applications to communicate with RM Loyalty. The Merchant Secret in Restaurant Manager is the same as the Merchant Secret in RM Loyalty . The data in this field is obtained from the merchant's RM Loyalty Management Console site .

Note: Having multiple Merchant Keys are not yet supported in the Restaurant Manager RM Loyalty Interface.

Important: One of the Address Default fields must be completed in Station Configuration. It is suggested you use the default State field. Do not rely on the customer to complete the survey form on the RM Loyalty website. A customer will not be awarded points nor will the customer history be recorded in Restaurant Manager when the any of the default fields are left blank.
