Installing Duet App

All you need to install Duet on your iPad is a Registration Account (usually an email address) and a Registration ID (a number) If you do not have those please contact your support representative. To install the app on an iPad device.

  1. Open the following link in Safari https://duet.000webhostapp.com
  2. Tap the Duet logo. Answer YES to the install prompt, and then tap 'Home' to close Safari
  3. You will notice the Duet icon loading on the home screen. When it has finished open the iPad settings icon then go to:
  4. General > Device Management, then drill down to Action Systems and 'Trust' the application
  5. Touch the Duet icon and you will be prompted for the Registration Email and Registration ID, tap OK

You are now ready to login to Duet using your 4 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Register iPad Device

All iPad devices will need to be registered in the Duet Back Office to run the Duet app and have it load the restaurants menu and operating parameters. Use the following directions:

  1. Log into the Duet Back Office with an account that can perform back office operations.
  2. Click General Settings and then POS Clients
  3. Click the Add License button and enter the number of iPads you wish to add to the system in the "How Many Field"
  4. Click the Purchase button and follow remaining prompts.

Note: You will need the Registration Code and the sites Email Address found under the POS Clients Form when you start the RM Duet for the first time.

Connecting iPad to a Duet Account

Use the instructions below to connect the Duet app to the your account.

  1. Double tap the Duet app on the iPad.
  2. Enter the site's email address in the Product Registration prompt. This is the same email address found in the Duet back office's Enterprise Setup Form (General Settings > Enterprise).
  3. Enter in the Registration ID. Use one of the registration codes found in the Device Setup Form in the Duet back office. Use one of the codes where the registration is not active.

Note: Once you use a Reg ID to register an iPad it becomes invalid for any other new registrations. To re-use a reg code you must first delete it from the General > POS Clients table. Then you may use it to add duet to a new iPad or to re-install it if for some reason you deleted it off an iPad.
