Requirements

Below are the basic software and hardware requirements for using Duet:

Duet Software

Duet Account with ASI

Hardware Requirements

Tablet

  • Duet is compatible with all iPad models capable of supporting iOS9 and higher. 16 GB storage minimum is preferred.

Stands / Enclosures

Secured Enclosure

  • Recommended: Archelon CAS enclosure for iPad Air and iPad Air 2 with support bracket kit for the ID Tech Unimag MSR

Unsecured Enclosure

  • Recommended: Articulating Arm (non-locking): Displays2Go iPad Arm

Printers

Duet sites that use Prep Printing (sending items to a printer for preparation) must have at least 1 Epson Intelligent Printer from the TM-i series. Impact or Thermal models may be used.

Required Smart Printer

Choose 1 of the following: (Required)

  • Thermal Printers: TM-T88V-i (high end) or TM-T70II-i (mid range). The TM-T70i is a more modern design and have an excellent value/performance ratio.
  • Impact Printers: TM-U220i

Optional Printers

One intelligent printer can drive any number of the other standard (non-intelligent) Epson printers with IP / Ethernet interface such as the

  • TM-T88V
  • TM-U220
  • Mobilelink P series

Bluetooth: For sites that do not need prep printing the Epson Bluetooth printers may be used:

TM-m10 (2 inch paper or the TM-m30 (3 inch paper)

Cash Drawers

Duet can drive any cash drawer compatible with the Epson printer drawer kick interface.

Wired Ethernet with iPad Charging
